Most Recent Items: UT2004 - 03 April 2004 After the luke-warm offering that was UT2003, Epic try to redress the balance with UT2004.
First impressions are that they may well have the game here to bring disillusioned UT fans back in from the cold!
With some innovative game types (particularly the Onslaught and Bombing Run levels) this release looks set to be a monster hit!
Review to follow soon!
Farcry - The review - 03 April 2004 ...will be here just as soon as UBISOFT make a serious effort to give me some support. So far all I've seen of the game was a quick test on a borrowed system. Yes it looked good, but the fact that it just complains about 'CD/DVD emulation software' on my system tells me that UBI's copy protection is set to 'ROTTWEILLER' level as I no longer have any installed! This is the sort of thing that encourages people to hunt for 'no-CD' cracks.
Beware - if you (like most people I know) run Nero, CloneCD or similar software, this game may refuse to run even if you disable the offending utilities! Review - Quake III Arena - 02 February 2000 The sequel that the gaming world has lusted after for over two years - was it worth the wait? Unreal Tournament, New Patch - 11 January 2000 A new patch is available for the tourney (405b)! New review: G-Police - 08 January 2000 This game was state of the art just over two years ago. Is it still worth buying now that it's around at budget prices?
Read Scumbag's not-totally unbiased review... KillerApp turns GamesTruth into GamesFiction ! - 31 December 1999 Truly a happy coincidence that KillerApp and Violent_J had two of the fastest machines in the room.
My Pentium I 233 with 64 MB EDO RAM and twin V2s was up against:
(a) PII 350 + 256M of SDRAM + Voodoo 3 3000 (a 2000 actually -- KA);
(b) Celeron 433 + 64M SDRAM + Voodoo 3 2000 ;
(c) Celeron 400 + 64M SDRAM + Matrox G400 Max (Server);
(that Matrox G400 Max was supplied by the winner - an obvious ploy to kill off one player by pushing dodgy hardware!)
Certainly a moral victory for Scumbag...
Scumbag lives up to name - 30 December 1999 Scumbag spent hours setting up the FragFest99. We were all impressed with his selfless work... until we found out why! Click the title for the full sorry story. ngStats can't add up right? - 30 December 1999 Scumbag was robbed of his rightful first place in the FragFest 99 LAN party honours. The only possible reason is that ngStats mustn't be able to add-up properly!
What's worse is that it gave most of my frags to KillerApp and said he'd won!!!
Must be a major bug in the ngStats system for that to happen - what other cause could there be? ;) |
